Hey guys.

Just wondering if any one knows much about the standard soarer air suspenssion and how its put together? Kinda wondering if swapping out for some aftermarket dunlop triple convoluted bags or something. My struts are getting a little tired and its mostly a road car so I'm not really sure if its worth spending $2000+ on some coilovers. After how they perform. Anyone know about electronically adjustable shocks for air bags as well? With a lot more adjustability than the stock soarer ones if possibly, so can change it for crap roads or just driving around and for going to the track etc.

Not a wog douche who wants to 'slam' his car just after an alternite to paying $800ea+ for new struts or using old ones.

If you're looking for something adjustable and suitable for part time track duties then coilovers are the way to go. You should be able to find a set to bolt in and be cheaper than bags.

I think any aftermarket bags are going to require work and may not be fully compatible with the existing controls.

Try japebay and some of the import websites for second hand stuff (coils) and also look for other models that use the same aftermarket coilovers that have struts fitted standard. You may be able to find cheap standard struts to bolt straight in from another model.

Options are JZZ30 Soarer or JZA80 Supra stuff

Personally for a street car i would be sticking with a new set of Toyota air bags as by all reports they transform the car

Ive done some light track work with the standard suspension and provided its in reasonable condition its not that bad, in fact if you lower it a bit and use the 'trackday' setting in my opinion it is superior to any stock factory Soarer coil suspension

But if you cant justify the expense of new Toyota stuff then i would be looking at something like these

For $1350 a set you cant really go wrong, as opposed to buying 2ndhand and the possibility of the shocks being fucked

How do I get onto Ebay japan haha?

Yeah i've heard new air struts are awesome and often a better choice. I was considering a cup kit but the only stand alone kit i have found is the Roberuta kit which is nearly $4,000 :o There is also a company in the u.s. called air force who sell a coilover inc cup kit set up for $2400 which isn't THAT bad considering.

I'd happily pay reasonable money for new struts but im not keen on the up to $1000 a strut I have heard from some people.

If mine was gone I would contact Arnott Industries.

Reasonably priced and could build a Soarer air strut, inc using Bilstein shocks as a base if you wanted.

I thought they could if you sent your old ones in as a sample?
