Short story shorter, I'm mating a 1uz to a nissan ka24de (same as 200sx/silvia, except diff bellhousing pattern). After some deliberation, fueled by beer and munchies, i've decided against attempting to make my own flywheel and whatnot. I gave tilton a call, and they had nothing off the shelf, but refered me to Aasco Motorsports and they hooked it up. I'll be getting an 8lb flywheel topped off by a Tilton twin disc with their Rally plates, and a throw out bearing extension to accomodate the trans adapter. The guys there seriously know their stuff, and after a short few minutes, it seemed the extra cost would be justified because it's a bolt on setup with nothing to make or design wrong on my end, and not the 1st time they've done stuff for the 1uz anyway. I found plenty of off the shelf options down under, but it's a bit more limited in the USA, and this place seems worth the money. Oh cost is around 1500 USD

for all new, components from tilton, in a complete 'bolt on' configuration thats actually a pretty decent price :)

whats the extension for the throw out bearing? to mount to what adapter?

cheers

Extension is because of the increased travel in the throwout bearing. The adapter plate is to go from the 1uz bolt pattern to the ka bolt pattern, which will add depth to the bellhousing, so im using the extension to compensate

Definately will as soon as it comes in. Gotta wait a couple of weeks, but my trans adapter should be made soon so I can continue test fitting and exhaust work and all that good stuff.
